The nurse will float between multiple facilities. The shift is 3 days a week, 12 hours per shift. The patient ratio will be 1:6. Weekend requirements are not applicable. First-time travelers are accepted. No on-call shifts are required. The position involves understanding and managing various types of chemotherapy and treatment procedures. Skills required include accessing and managing ports, administering chemotherapy and blood products, and managing side effects. This role requires a comprehensive approach to patient care in an infusion center setting. The daily census is between 50-60 patients for infusion. Interdisciplinary support is available, including IV teams and pharmacy services. Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to recognize and manage side effects of treatment. Experience in outpatient oncology settings is beneficial. Compliance with all health and safety regulations is mandatory. Candidates should have the capacity to float within hospitals or to affiliate facilities as necessary.
