Description:
Start dates: Friday start is all virtual orientation, will report onsite Monday.
RN Oncology; ONC and Chemo preferred, not required.
Ratios: Average 1:4.
First-timers accepted.
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
On-call requirement: No.
Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required.
Open to accommodating block schedule.
RTO greater than 7 days and/or holiday requires approval.
Daily census: 27 patients.
Patient diagnoses include solid tumor cancers.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams.
Special procedures in the unit include hospice/palliative care and chemotherapy/biotherapy administration.
Return staff policy: Must be gone 2 years to return as traveler.
Modules are non-billable and completed pre-start and annually, varying by specialty.
