Job Summary:
Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical Oncology Floor in a healthcare facility located in Wausau, WI. This role involves providing specialized care to surgical and medical oncology patients within a fast-paced medical surgical oncology unit. The position begins on October 19, 2026, and runs for approximately 13 weeks, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS certification, minimum of 2+ years of experience, oncology experience required. Chemo certification is mandatory. Minimum of 1 year experience on a Medical Surgical Oncology (MSO) unit preferred. Must have previous electronic charting experience; Epic EMR experience preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other areas as needed, including in four-hour blocks, before staff RNs.
  • Additional Information:
    • The unit primarily cares for surgical and medical oncology patients with patient ratios ranging from 4:1 to 7:1 during night shifts, with always available tech support.
    • The role includes working every other weekend and holiday rotation.
    • During flu season, vaccination compliance is mandatory, with masks required for those declining vaccination.
