Certifications: AHA BLS, ONC certification required.
Must-Have:
Candidates must be comfortable with flexible staffing ratios.
Experience in environments with varying nurse-to-patient ratios.
Travel experience preferred.
Description:
This is a position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant.
The role requires expertise in administering chemotherapy and biotherapies.
Candidates will care for patients receiving cellular therapies, including stem cell transplants and CAR-T treatments.
The unit consists of 51 beds, primarily focused on blood cancers and related therapies.
Registered Nurses will float between similar units as required to meet facility needs.
Nurse-to-patient ratios may flex from 3-4 to 5 based on staffing and unit needs.
Candidates must possess skills in the management of various medical conditions such as tumor lysis syndrome, anaphylaxis, and sepsis.
The role requires the administration of blood products, central line care, and continuous infusion of chemotherapy.
Candidates should also be adept at recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values.
Weekend coverage is required based on unit needs.
Travelers will be required to check facility-specific email for updates and complete necessary modules within the first week of assignment.
