Must adhere to float policy. Epic experience required. Description: The inpatient oncology unit is a 28-bed adult acute care hematology/oncology unit. It also includes a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio for the unit is 1:4. Responsibility includes providing clinical care to adult oncology patients. Candidates will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, physicians, and other support services. The unit is known for its evidence-based and quality-driven care. New nurses will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and training in oncology care. A free-floating charge nurse is available on both day and night shifts to provide support. Additional support from resource nurses is available several shifts per week. The unit features large private rooms and has received recognition from a cancer commission.
