Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in PCU/Oncology License: Active state RN license or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, OCN preferred Must-Have: Must have PCU/Oncology experience. Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units. Must have EPIC experience. Must work a minimum of every other holiday. Description: This is a night shift position for a Registered Nurse specializing in PCU/Oncology. The position requires a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a similar setting. Sickle cell experience and chemotherapy certification are preferred but not required. Candidates must show experience with a patient ratio of 1:5 in their work history. Patient ratios on this unit target 1:4 but can go up to 1:5-6 based on acuity. Nurses will need to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment. They must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips. Travelers will be the first to float as necessary. Floating may occur within the facility or to other nearby locations if required. Travelers must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. Premier reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. Care provided will include mixed acuity patients, including those receiving chemotherapy and blood products. RNs on this unit administer chemotherapy with ONS certification. The work environment requires a focus on teamwork and collaboration within an interdisciplinary support framework. Candidates must be comfortable with floating and have no restrictions or special requests regarding unit assignments. The facility focuses on adult and geriatric patient populations.
