Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse located in the St. Peters, Missouri area. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on an oncology floor, supporting adult patients with comprehensive treatment needs. The position includes floating to other satellite locations within the healthcare providers network as needed, with shifts scheduled for days.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in Missouri or compact state, 1 year of nursing experience, BLS certification, ACLS certification preferred.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), OCN, ONS/ONCC.
- Skills: Accessing and managing ports, drawing from ports/CVCs, recognizing abnormal lab values, port care, central line blood draws, infection control and isolation precautions, IM injections, patient assessment, infusion management, and handling oncology-specific treatments.
- Additional Information: The position requires good assessment skills, the ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab findings, and the flexibility to float within scope to other Siteman locations in the area, including downtown and satellite sites. The era of work involves supporting adult oncology patients, primarily in lab/injection areas.
