The position is for night shifts, 3 times a week. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. Required certifications include BLS, PALS, and Chemotherapy certification from ONS or ONCC. A current NC or Compact nursing license is necessary. Experience must include accessing and managing ports, administration of chemotherapy, and knowledge of pediatric oncology conditions. The unit cares for adolescents, infants, and pediatric patients with complex medical needs, including stem cell transplant recipients. Staffing ratios are generally 2 patients per nurse during day, night, and weekend shifts. Workers will need to comply with all standard health and safety protocols.
