Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology/Women's Surgical Unit – North Carolina

Start Date: September 7, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 6 weekend days per schedule; minimal call requirements; minimal floating to other med-surg units

Highlights:

  • 24-bed oncology and women's surgical unit with supportive team-based environment
  • Manageable patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 with dedicated CNC, CNAs, and HUC support on day shift
  • Cerner EMR system with standard unit equipment
  • Procedures include occasional pelvic exams, echo, thoracentesis, and chemotherapy administration
  • Long-term contract position replacing outgoing contractor
  • Rare floating; most assignments remain on the home unit

Requirements:

  • Active RN license in North Carolina (or eligible for licensure)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Chemotherapy certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Oncology and/or women's health experience strongly preferred
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn
