Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on an Oncology/Transplant & Cellular Therapy unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy in accordance with unit protocols and safety standards
Support and participate in bone marrow transplant (BMT) procedures and post-transplant care
Perform blood administration and cardiac monitoring using telemetry equipment
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Float to med/surg as needed based on unit staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas or a valid Multi-State Compact License
ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification (required; candidates without this certification will not be considered)
BLS certification (required)
Minimum 1 year of RN experience
Demonstrated experience with chemo/biotherapy administration
BMT/bone marrow transplant experience
Hematology experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or equivalent oncology nursing certification
ACLS certification
Experience with Meditech EMR
