TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Topeka, Kansas, 66604!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology/Hematology Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1-year acute care nursing experience required, experience in oncology/hematology preferred License: KS or Multistate license required Certifications: AHA BLS required; Chemotherapy certification preferred Must-Have: All required certifications and licensure must be provided at the time of submission. No first-time travelers allowed. Local travelers accepted at the same rate. Description: The unit cares for patients with hematological and oncology diagnoses. Services include palliative and inpatient hospice/end-of-life care, as well as specialized medical care for patients with tracheostomies. Inpatient chemotherapy, symptom management, and supportive care for progressive diagnoses are also provided. Staffing ratios are 1:6, or 1:4 with active chemotherapy infusions. The dress code includes navy scrub color. Visible tattoos are permitted unless offensive or inappropriate for a professional setting. Piercings are acceptable if they do not interfere with job duties and maintain a professional appearance. Immunity status or proof of vaccination against Hep B, MMR, and Varicella is required. TB documentation is also necessary, along with TDaP vaccine and influenza vaccine or exemption request during flu season. Candidates must demonstrate clinical expertise, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Engagement in a culture of high reliability and continuous improvement is expected.
