Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing comprehensive care to adult medical and surgical oncology patients in a clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage patient calls and conduct assessments.
• Perform patient education and communicate treatment plans.
• Assist with procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and in-office surgical procedures.
• Manage patient visits and oversee a daily census of approximately 25 patients.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Call out results and communicate with patients regarding their health.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on surgical, outpatient, and medical oncology experience.
• Triage experience is required.
• Certifications: BCLS required; ONS and chemotherapy certification preferred but not mandatory.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Work Schedule

This position offers a 4x10 hour shift from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. There is no weekend or on-call requirement.

Unit Details

Our clinic specializes in the treatment of breast medical oncology patients. Nurses will be trained in the specific procedures relevant to their role, including assisting with both medical and surgical oncology tasks.

Additional Requirements

Registered Nurses must bring their own stethoscopes and wear navy scrubs.
