Demonstrates competency through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance, including ethical practice and education. Strives to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Provides evidence-based nursing care consistent with the interprofessional plan of care. Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Acts as a patient/family advocate. Demonstrates high moral, ethical, and culturally sensitive behavior. Assesses the overall needs of the patient/family and analyzes assessment data. Identifies expected outcomes/goals and develops an individualized interprofessional plan of care. Evaluates patient and family educational needs and employs appropriate teaching strategies.
