Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Oncology (MS ONC) Registered Nurse (RN) for a facility in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in an adult medical oncology telemetering unit, focusing on patients with bone marrow transplants, hematologic, and solid tumor malignancies. The RN will work primarily on the day shift, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: RN License, BLS certification, oncology background, 2 years of current nursing experience, 1-2 travel assignments completed.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Alaris pumps, EPIC electronic health record system, and chemo certification (chemo administered on the unit but not required from agency nurses).
  • Patient Population: Adult oncology, bone marrow transplant, Acute care, Telemetry.
  • Orientation: Sessions scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
  • Additional Information: Candidates with previous employment in any capacity at any Johns Hopkins facility must have that information documented in the work history and verified before receiving an offer. Applicants must be gone for at least one full year if previously employed there and are applying as travelers.
