License: State or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC), OCN required. Must-Have: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required. Previous charge experience preferred. Experience with patient ratios of 8:1. Experience with Epic charting system required. Travel experience required. Description: This position involves providing outpatient chemotherapy and immunotherapy to patients with all cancer diagnoses as well as hematologic malignancies and non-malignancies. Nurses will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and managing patients' responses to treatment. The role includes accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and monitoring patients for side effects and complications. Knowledge and skills related to the management of acute tumor lysis syndrome, neutropenic precautions, and patient/family education are essential. Nurses will work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacy and social services, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Candidates must demonstrate competency in patient assessment, medication administration, and management of chemotherapy-related side effects. A commitment to maintaining safety standards and following protocols for cytotoxic spills and medication administration is required.
