Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing. License: Oregon RN license is not required at the time of submission; pending licensure is acceptable. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: - Experience in accessing and managing ports. - Knowledge of and experience in the administration of chemotherapy. - Familiarity with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. - Ability to manage non-invasive airway and oxygen administration. - Proficient in peripheral line care and management, isolation precautions, and rapid response team activation. Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Oncology specialty. The nurse will care for patients in a medical-surgical oncology unit. The unit has a 1:4-6 nurse-to-patient ratio during the day shift. Nurses will provide holistic care for oncology patients throughout the cancer treatment process. The role includes supporting patients and families during all stages of their cancer diagnosis, including end-of-life care. Nurses will be required to obtain chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration certification within one year of hire. Interdisciplinary support will include teams for Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and more. The unit will care for medical oncology, surgical oncology, and hospice care patients. Previous experience with computerized documentation is essential. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs. Candidates should not have any restrictions on their ability to float within the facility.
