Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN Portland, OR. This position involves floating between units at multiple healthcare facilities in the area. The role requires a certified Oncology Nurse (ONC) with experience in chemotherapy administration, including biotherapy, and preferred experience with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T therapy patients. The RN will provide specialized care for adult and geriatric oncology patients in a short-term acute care setting.
Job Details
- Certifications: Oncology Nurse Certification (ONC), BLS (Basic Life Support), Chemotherapy Certification (ONCC/ONS)
- Education Requirements: Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Years of Experience: 2 years minimum, with at least 1 year of recent experience in an oncology setting
- Location Requirements: Candidates must have a vehicle for this assignment and be within a 50-mile radius of the facilities
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, managing ports, monitoring for side effects such as tumor lysis syndrome, and providing patient education and support. Floating between units and facilities is required, with potential additional incentives for floating to Seaside.
- Candidates must respond to specific questions during submittal regarding previous employment at Providence facilities and provide two references covering the past 1 year during the compliance process.
- Candidates should be prepared for mandatory participation in modules during pre-start and orientation, recorded in Workramp transcripts.
