Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $1,698 per week in Plano, TX

Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps, SCD machines, Mobilab, and glucometers; document care using Meditech EMR. Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Surgical Oncology unit with an estimated patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Surgical Oncology unit with an estimated patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
• Perform medication administration, chest tube management, NGT management, and Foley management
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps, SCD machines, Mobilab, and glucometers; document care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including CNCs, RNs, PCTs, and HUCs on night shift
• Float to Medical Oncology and Med/Surg units as needed per unit guidelines
• Adhere to facility attendance policy and dress code (royal blue scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrated compassion and empathy in patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• IV insertion experience
• Chemotherapy administration experience
• Background in Surgical Oncology or Medical/Surgical nursing
