The role takes place in a 31-bed unit. The unit includes a charge nurse, RNs, CNAs, and sitters based on shift. Patient ratios are 1:5/6 during the day shift. Standard medical surgical equipment is utilized, along with some traction equipment. The Electronic Medical Record used is Meditech. Dress code includes royal blue scrubs. Nail policy requires clean and healthy hands, with no artificial nails. Hair must be neat and pulled back if longer than shoulder length. Body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Additional unit guidelines and policies may apply. Floating will occur within Med Surg as needed. Attendance policies must be adhered to as per company-wide standards. No weekend or on-call requirements for this position.
