Contract | Nights | Full-Time | Onsite | Weekends Required (2 out of 3) | 8 or 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care for OB triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, well-newborn, and special care nursery patients, including IV therapy, antibiotics, and short-term respiratory support (CPAP or O2)
Care for GYN surgical patients within a 12-bed Women's Center unit (2 triage, 5 LDRP, 5 overflow postpartum/GYN surgical)
Interpret fetal monitor strips and utilize central fetal monitoring system (OBIX)
Attend vaginal deliveries and provide immediate care and resuscitation of newborns
Document patient care using EPIC electronic charting and manage medications via Acudose dispensing cabinet
Float to General Medical unit as needed when OB census is low
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of OB nursing experience
Demonstrated competency in fetal monitor strip interpretation
Experience attending vaginal deliveries and performing immediate newborn care and resuscitation
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and OBIX fetal monitoring systems
Experience with Acudose or similar automated medication dispensing systems
Background in GYN surgical patient care
