Contract (12 Weeks) | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every 3rd weekend | No call requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Antepartum, GYN, and Pediatrics within a Women's Services unit
- Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status using Philips fetal monitors with OB Trave Vue technology
- Manage patient assignments based on acuity across a unit consisting of 3 LDR, 4 Triage, 2 Antepartum, and 10 Postpartum/GYN/Peds beds
- Document patient care accurately using MediTech EHR
- Demonstrate charge nurse experience as required for this role
- Float within the unit as needed per float requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure valid in North Carolina (or compact eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Pediatrics, GYN, and Antepartum
- Charge nurse experience required
- Required certifications (must be obtained prior to start): ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of Women's Services experience with charge nurse responsibilities
- Familiarity with MediTech EHR
- Experience with Philips fetal monitoring systems
