Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
Perform triage assessments and support patients in the LDRP setting
Circulate and assist during cesarean section procedures
Deliver newborn care and postpartum couplet care to mothers and infants
Collaborate with the obstetric care team to ensure safe, compassionate, family-centered care
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN nursing experience
High proficiency in LDRP, including Labor, Triage, Delivery, Circulating, C-Sections, Newborn Care, and Postpartum Couplet Care
Active Michigan RN License (verified Active via LARA and/or Nursys)
Active American Heart Association BLS certification
Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Active AWHONN certification
Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor
COVID vaccine required (exemptions considered)
Must have personal reliable transportation
Preferred Experience / Skills
STABLE certification
Experience in a high-volume family birth center environment
