Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized patient care plans aimed at returning patients to optimal health
Provide direct bedside nursing care and carry out physician orders in an OB/GYN setting
Delegate to and oversee support staff including Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, OB Care Associates, Surgical Service Assistants, Nursing Clerks, and Psychiatric Techs
Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and adjust as needed to meet patient needs
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
Minimum 2 years of OB experience required
AWHONN certification required (must be obtained within the last two years)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
Basic Life Support – BLS (AHA) certification required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support – ACLS (AHA) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) system
Prior experience in an acute care hospital environment
