Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments; appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
- Circulates during C-Sections and attends deliveries, assisting the physician as needed; attends the neonatal station in the C-Section suite and completely assesses the neonate post-delivery
- Provides care across the Women's Services spectrum including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Triage, and OB/GYN post-operative patients
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
- May be required to float to another unit as helping hands or as a sitter depending on facility census
Required Qualifications
- Active Wyoming RN license or valid RN Compact license required
- Active ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and/or L&D/LDRP
- Experience must include at least one of the following: Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Triage, or OB/GYN post-operative care (e.g., post-hysterectomy)
- Must attend fetal monitoring certification classes every two years and maintain current NRP certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Women's Services or OB/GYN setting
- Experience working in a community hospital environment, either in a permanent or contract capacity
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care settings
