Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within a Women's Services / OB-GYN unit throughout the duration of the contract assignment
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care during day shift hours in a fast-paced labor and delivery environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes for obstetric and gynecological patients
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Maintain unit coverage and continuity of care while permanent staffing positions are being filled
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Michigan or compact licensure eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN or Women's Services nursing
- Current BLS certification; additional OB-specific certifications may be required
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Compliance with all travel contract requirements including health screenings and credentialing documentation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Women's Services or Labor & Delivery setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems commonly used in hospital environments
- Experience in high-acuity or critical OB patient care scenarios
