The role involves providing high-quality care for women and their newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Responsibilities include caring for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns. You will perform triage and non-stress tests (NSTs). Serve as the second nurse at deliveries and manage overflow patients. Collaborate with physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient-centered care. Support patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or recovery. Occasionally, you will need to float to Med/Surg, CCU, or ER to assist. Experience with electronic medical record systems is required. This position is in a fast-paced environment caring for women and newborn infants after childbirth. It plays a critical role in guiding patients through the childbirth and postpartum journey. The setting is team-oriented with strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
