**Exciting Opportunity for an Obstetrics Registered Nurse (Night Shift)**
**Job Description:**
- Are you passionate about providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their newborns?
- Join our dynamic Obstetrics Unit as a Registered Nurse (RN) and make a significant impact during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver compassionate and skilled care to obstetric patients, including laboring mothers and postpartum recovery.
- Assist in the birthing process with fetal monitoring, medication administration, and patient education.
- Monitor the health of both mother and baby, recognizing and responding to complications effectively.
- Educate families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn health.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective care.
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for adult patients with medical and surgical conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care in accordance with physician orders.
- Document patient care services accurately and maintain continuity among nursing teams.
- Delegate tasks effectively to nursing assistants and unit clerks.
**Essential Qualifications:**
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of obstetric nursing experience.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License (State of Idaho or approved compact state).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required upon hire.
