Key Responsibilities of the RN - Obstetrics

• Provide comprehensive care to low risk OB patients and stable newborns
• Support high risk OB patients in collaboration with MFM
• Stabilize newborns and serve as a circulator during C-sections
• Operate central monitoring for fetal and newborn monitoring
• Administer medications including Pitocin and Magnesium as required
• Collaborate effectively with OB techs and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and adhere to hospital protocols

Requirements of the RN - Obstetrics

• Active IL license or confirmation that application is in process
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, C-EFM, NRP
• Experience with stabilization of newborns and circulatory roles in C-sections
