Newborn care will also be part of the responsibilities. The nurse will utilize Epic electronic medical records, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, Fetal Warmers, and Pyxis systems. Two nurses are required to be present in the facility at all times; employees will not work alone. This position will fill open shifts on the schedule without being a part of the call schedule. Weekends will be required, including every third Friday and Saturday as well as a scheduled Sunday every three weeks. Floating to other units or departments will not be expected in this position. The unit consists of 6 LDRP beds and 3 postpartum beds. Staffing follows established perinatal standards. Client-issued scrubs are the expected dress code. The jump start training and department-specific training will be provided based on the experience level and expertise of the nurse in this position. Mandatory attendance is required for all training sessions.
