The nurse will manage cases involving antepartum, labor and delivery, and the level 2 nursery. The unit consists of 7 beds with 1 overflow room. The nurse will follow staffing guidelines for patient acuity. There will be a 1:1 labor and 1:3 postpartum ratio. The position requires care of clean gyne surgical patients. Nurses may float to other departments during surge periods. The charting system in use is EPIC. Scrubs will be provided for the duration of the contract. Candidates should be competent in electronic fetal monitoring. This role supports a baby-friendly practice environment. Travelers are expected to have a proactive and positive attitude while working.
