Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit serving maternity women and newborns, including Nursery and Postpartum settings
- Perform fetal monitoring using OB Tracevue for charting strips
- Circulate for C-section procedures performed on-site
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 for patients on Pitocin and 1:2 otherwise
- Participate in call requirements, including 2 shifts of call per 6-week period
- Float to other areas and cover every other weekend rotation as needed
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure valid for practice in the State of Tennessee
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience with fetal monitoring
- Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date; results required prior to start
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration
Preferred Experience / Skills- PALS certification
- Experience with Centricity and/or Meditech EHR systems
- Couplet care experience
