OB Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced OB Registered Nurse (RN) to provide holistic and individualized care in our Obstetrics Unit. The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical competency and nursing judgment while adhering to the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecological patients.
  • Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills under the supervision of the charge nurse.
  • Promote teamwork with physicians and personnel across departments to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Manage supplies and equipment efficiently, ensuring adherence to all nursing practice standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with hospital policies, including those related to sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA.
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least one year in an acute care setting.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and STABLE.
  • MUST be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate.

Additional Information

Holiday coverage is required, and candidates should be prepared to work night shifts.
