Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Obstetrics – St Francis, KS 67756

Start Date: October 4, 2026

Location: Northwestern Kansas, near the Nebraska and Colorado borders

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week. Flexible scheduling available with blocked 6 on/8 off option upon request.

  • Work in a 16-bed nonprofit Critical Access Hospital serving rural communities since 1953
  • Provide specialized care across the full perinatal continuum including labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
  • Access to Avel ecare Emergency system with 24/7 support from trained nurses and physicians for consultation, documentation, and clinical assistance
  • Cross-train in Med/Surg and Emergency Department settings for professional growth

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in Kansas
  • OB nursing experience with demonstrated competency in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or willingness to obtain
  • Proficiency in fetal heart rate monitoring and interpretation
  • Ability to recognize and respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies
  • Strong assessment skills and ability to work independently in a rural healthcare setting
  • Submission of resume, skills checklist, two professional references, and online license verification
