Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) within the OB/GYN specialty is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating effectively with healthcare team members. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with age-specific criteria and clinical best practices. RNs also assist in directing the activities of non-RN staff and contribute to patient education and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient health, developing individualized care plans.
• Implement appropriate interventions and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide support and guidance to non-RN staff, including LPNs and patient care technicians.
• Maintain flexibility in work schedules and adapt to changes as needed.

Work Schedule

This position involves varied 12-hour shifts, including both day and night rotations, with a guarantee of 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts are required every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN nursing.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment is required.
• Ability to function as a first assist and scrub in OB procedures is highly preferred.

Certifications

• Active Ohio (OH) or Compact RN License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Active STABLE certification.
• Active Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification.

Additional Information

Candidates living within a 45-mile radius of the facility will be considered local travelers and will experience a reduction in travel rates.
