Description

Job Title: Nursing Manager/Director, Infusion RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Nursing Manager/Director, Infusion RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday, Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional nursing experience. License: Valid, current, full and unrestricted RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred. Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. - Minimum 2 years of experience as a staff RN in immunotherapy/Chemotherapy. - Minimum 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience is required. Description: This position requires oversight for the overall financial performance of the assigned departments. The role includes setting annual budgets and suggesting cost-effective alternatives for increasing efficiency. You will coordinate nursing service orientation for new staff, monitoring skills, and providing guidance for skill development. Patient care assignments will be based on individual patient care requirements and staff qualifications. You will review staffing standards and recommend changes based on patient classification and staff utilization studies. Implementing departmental policies, procedures, and standards will be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with healthcare providers to conduct patient care conferences is expected. Facilitating quality improvement activities to monitor compliance with patient care standards will be required. You will assist in training and career development of staff and partner with the education department for ongoing training and competency validation. Updating job descriptions and performance standards as required will be part of your duties. Performance evaluations of staff will be conducted based on job descriptions and written standards. You will communicate unresolved employee or patient issues to the Chief Nursing Officer. Planning and approving staffing schedules according to personnel policies will be necessary. You will oversee supply and equipment ordering for the department. Identifying departmental needs for personnel, equipment, and supplies will be essential for program planning. Implementation of regulatory agency standards must be maintained, and compliance with these standards will be assessed regularly. You may assume the role of Acting Chief Nursing Officer when required and will participate in Nursing Service goal setting. Duties will also include providing positive feedback to staff who meet performance standards. You are expected to perform independently and exercise professional judgment. Remaining calm and making sound judgments in emergency situations is required. You will address performance, behavioral, or quality issues as they arise. Your ability to maintain interpersonal relationships with patients and the healthcare team is vital. This position requires critical thinking to make sound nursing judgments and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions. Researching new products and equipment for the nursing services division will also be part of your responsibilities.
