We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in California. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate, highly skilled RN who is comfortable caring for critically ill newborns in a fast-paced Level III/IV NICU environment.

 

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN license
  • NICU experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • NRP certification required
  • Ability to care for premature and critically ill newborns
  • Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
  • Current clinical documentation and immunizations as required by the facility

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns
  • Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, labs, and clinical changes
  • Administer medications and treatments safely
  • Manage ventilators, CPAP, IVs, central lines, and other NICU equipment as appropriate
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team
  • Educate and support parents and families
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow facility policies and protocols
