Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a specialized neonatal care unit located in Dallas, Texas. The role involves caring for preterm and critically ill infants, including those with tracheostomies and central lines, in a high-acuity environment. The assignment is designed for nurses with at least one year of level III neonatal experience and offers a dynamic, fast-paced setting with modern equipment and technology.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Education: Relevant nursing degree; Experience: Minimum 1 year of Level III Neonatal Intensive Care experience; Location: Dallas, Texas.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with preemies (at least 28 weeks gestation and above), management of central lines, respiratory management including intubated patients, working with surgical and cardiac specialty care, and caring for patients as young as 2 years old.
  • Additional Information: Care involves managing nasal cannula, bubble continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), ventilators, oscillators, intravenous pumps, patient monitoring systems, and warmers. The unit highlights include a team of experienced staff, modern equipment, and a focus on high-quality neonatal care. Floating to other pediatric units (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit) may be required before staffing with current unit team.
