Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse specializing in Level 1B neonatal care in a continuing care nursery environment. This position involves providing specialized care for late preterm babies (35 weeks and beyond) and infants with mild health issues, utilizing the latest technology and practices including cardiopulmonary monitors, LED phototherapy lights, radiant warming units, resuscitation and stabilization care centers, IV infusion pumps, isolettes, donor milk, and oxygen therapy. The role requires work during days with a schedule of 12 hours shifts, starting on 10/12/2026, and ending on 01/11/2027.

  • Required Qualifications: 2 years current NICU experienceLevel 1B or higher, Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and experience with Meditech Expanse preferred. Must have experience with ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) infants, babies exposed to opioids in utero, Transient Tachypnea (TTN), blood sugar stabilization, respiratory support, and high flow nasal cannula. Travelers permanent address must be included in their profile.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous NICU experience with Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Meditech Expanse experience.

  • Additional Information:

    • NO more than 5 days of return to origin (RTO) will be accepted, and requests must be made at submission.
    • Travelers are required to work two designated holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend after, New Years Eve through New Years Day and the weekend after.
    • RTO requests after profile submission or during interview may not be approved.
    • Dress code: facility-provided scrubs.
    • Schedule requests such as block scheduling will not be considered.
    • Candidates must have their own vehicle.
    • Resident within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
    • All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of profile submission.
    • The facility requires compliance with mandated certifications and experience as specified.
