Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required; candidates with 5 years in PEDS ED, PICU, and Level IV NICU care are strongly preferred
  • At least 3 years of neonatal and/or pediatric transport experience within the last 5 years
  • Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
  • TNCC and STABLE certifications preferred
  • Experience with interfacility transport by ground or air
  • Comfort working with critical care transport equipment and workflows

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for neonatal and pediatric patients during transport
  • Support airway management, vasoactive drips, IV/IO access, and non-invasive ventilation
  • Administer inhaled respiratory medications and assist with advanced transport interventions
  • Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy and transport team partners during ground and air transfers
  • Care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including respiratory illness, sepsis, trauma, congenital conditions, and metabolic disorders
  • Float to support units as needed when not actively transporting patients
  • Use monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and electronic charting systems safely and accurately
