First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Bismarck, North Dakota.

NICU RN – Level III NICU

Level III NICU with 22 beds and an open-bed concept. Patient population includes premature infants (23+ weeks), RDS, SGA, IUGR, hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, and other intermediate to critical neonatal cases. Nurses care for intubated infants and patients on bubble CPAP, manage central lines and TPN, and must be comfortable titrating drips.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of NICU RN experience
  • Level III–IV NICU experience preferred
  • BLS and NRP required
  • Must be able to titrate drips
  • NICU RNs attend deliveries under 36 weeks and assist with APGARs

Schedule:

  • Days: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Nights: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • D/N rotation may be available based on unit needs
  • Manager to make schedule
  • Every other weekend or every 3rd weekend
  • 2 holidays per year
  • No call/standby
  • 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
  • Hospital-provided scrubs

Floating: May float to Newborn Nursery and Pediatrics as appropriate; otherwise, may assist as a helping hand.

Important: 50-mile radius rule applies. Candidates cannot be currently working full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO must be submitted upfront and is limited to 7 days or less per 13-week contract. Additional RTO will not be approved after submission.
