Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse (RN) position is available in a facility dedicated to women and infants' health. This role involves providing specialized neonatal care during night shifts, primarily on weeknights and weekends. The position offers a flexible schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week and is suitable for experienced nurses seeking a short-term contract in a high-acuity environment.

Job Details:

  • Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)Level III intensive neonatal care.
  • Schedule: Weeknights and weekends, 48 hours per week, four 12-hour shifts. Flex position; shifts predominantly nights.
  • Contract Duration: Start date 11/02/2026 (HARD START) through 01/02/2027 (HARD END). No extension available.
  • Holidays Required: Veterans Day (11/11/2026), Thanksgiving Day (11/26/2026), Christmas Eve (12/24/2026), Christmas Day (12/25/2026), New Year's Eve (12/31/2026), New Year's Day (01/01/2027).
  • Time Off: Candidates with no time off requests will be given preference.
  • Certifications and Qualifications:
    • Active RN license (or compact license, if applicable to Rhode Island)
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
    • NRP certification required
    • Minimum 2 years recent NICU experience (Level III)
    • Ventilation/high-acuity neonate experience preferred
  • Clinical Requirements: Active RN license, BLS certification, NRP certification, and required clinical skills.
  • Checklist/Testing: CNE Skills Checklist, CNE Profile, professional references, and work attestation.
  • Additional Information: EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system required. This position is a fast-track opportunity for strongly qualified candidates.
