Peds/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN

Swedish First Hill | Seattle, WA

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Shift: 3x12 Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Call: None
  • Experience: 2+ years preferred; at least 1 year required by compliance
  • EMR: Epic experience required
  • COVID Vaccine: Not required
  • Float: Required to NICU, PICU, Peds, and potentially nearby sister facilities

Role Overview
This is a Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care Transport RN role supporting ground transportation throughout the Seattle area. The RN works with RT and an advanced practice provider to transport critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients from surrounding hospitals, EDs, L&D/NICU units, and other facilities to Swedish First Hill for a higher level of care.

Ground transport experience is required.

 

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • Active Compact RN license in hand at submission
     

Refusal to float may result in termination and/or loss of guaranteed hours.

Transport Team
Typically includes:

  • Transport RN
  • Respiratory Therapist
  • Advanced Practice Provider as clinically indicated

RTO / Holiday Requirements

  • All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be provided at submission
  • Standard RTO allowance: up to 7 days
  • More than 7 days may delay an offer
  • Must work 3 of 5 holidays:
    • Thanksgiving
    • Christmas Eve
    • Christmas Day
    • New Year’s Eve
    • New Year’s Day

Submission Requirements

  • SSN
  • DOB
  • RTO
  • Compact license in hand
  • Must answer whether candidate has previously worked for any Providence facility as perm, traveler, registry, or per diem; include facility and dates
  • 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the past 3 years; Charge RN/Lead references accepted
  • Only 1 Providence facility submission at a time

  • Local Radius: 50 miles
  • Locals accepted at a lower bill rate
