  • Setting: Level IV NICU with a highly specialized neonatal care team
  • Float Requirement: Required within the ICU cluster, including NICU, PICU, CVICU, Burn ICU, and IMU as needed
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays as needed

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Level III-IV NICU
  • At least one prior travel nursing assignment required
  • EPIC experience required
  • Active Arkansas RN license or compact RN license required upon offer
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Experience with high-acuity neonatal patients strongly preferred
  • Ability to float within the ICU cluster as needed
  • Must pass fit testing
  • Must test negative for nicotine
  • Level I or II NICU experience will not be considered

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care for critically ill and premature newborns
  • Monitor and manage complex neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress, prematurity-related complications, surgical recovery, and other high-acuity diagnoses
  • Administer medications, treatments, and specialized interventions according to NICU standards
  • Collaborate closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapy, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary support teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow unit protocols and patient safety standards
  • Support families through education, communication, and compassionate bedside care
  • Adapt quickly to changing patient acuity and contribute to a team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Float to designated ICU areas when needed while maintaining excellent patient care standards
