Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialty opportunity is located in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing high-level neonatal critical care to infants from 23 weeks gestation and up. The position requires clinical expertise in managing neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting, focusing on ventilator management, line insertions, and specialized neonatal procedures.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM; no call required. Every other weekend; float to pediatric, PICU, or nursery units as needed.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), 1 year of neonatal ICU experience, experience with NICU III and NICU IV patients, proficiency in ventilation management, line placement, neonatal procedures, and infant care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with charting systems, community hospital experience, and familiarity with interdisciplinary support teams.
  • Additional Information: This position involves caring for neonates and infants with diverse respiratory needs, performing specialized procedures such as PICC line insertion, bronchoscopy, and swallow studies, and managing complex ventilator support.
