Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Detroit, Michigan.
NICU Nurse Job Summary:
- Provide specialized nursing care for newborns requiring intensive medical attention.
- Monitor and assess vital signs, symptoms, and progress of premature or critically ill infants.
- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and specialized treatments as prescribed.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment such as ventilators and incubators.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate and support families regarding their infant’s condition and care needs.
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately and timely.
- Maintain a sterile, safe, and developmentally supportive environment in the NICU.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
- Participate in continuing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
Med Ninjas Job ID #19832. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
