NICU RN – Lubbock, TX
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7p–7a) — Winter Block, 1st Timers Accepted
Facility: Children's Hospital / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center (Level IV NICU)

Unit Overview

  • 43 beds | Daily census ~35
  • Ratios: 1:2-4
  • Float required: PRN to Pediatrics/PICU/Pedi ED
  • Weekends: 6 shifts in a 6-week period (variable, self-scheduling)
  • Block schedule required | No call | 48s not approved
  • Orientation: 12 hours
  • Open to contracts longer than 13 weeks if desired

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years NICU (Level III experience preferred — this is a Level IV unit)
  • Certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced
  • License: Compact license must be in hand at submission
  • Local radius: 50 miles (accepted at lower bill rate)
  • Charting: Epic (required)

Patient Population: Neonates — prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, surgical (all subspecialties except cardiac), HIE
