TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Park Ridge, Illinois.

UNIT:  NICU FLOAT POOL
CLINICAL INTERVIEW W/MGR APPROVAL

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years.  Will accept first time traveler.  Trach management, vents, chest tube, foley, surgical drains, Art lines, CVL, blood draw, IV start, traction, CPAP, high flow, oscillator, central lines, dressing changes, heliox, nitric respiratory support.  Drips: Fentanyl, Propofol, Precedex, Epi, Levo

Required License, National Certification, Certs:  Illinois Nursing License, BLS, PALS, NRP

Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC – required
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Pyxis
Monitors: Med sonic

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:  Respiratory, Congenital Heart Disease, hematology/oncology, post-op, trauma.  NICU: 61 Beds – premature, neuro, GI, feeder/grower.  PICU: 24 Beds – intubated, post-surgical, respiratory failure, neuro.  Gen Peds: Neonate-18, general, hematology, oncology, post-surgery.         ER: 22 Beds, Neonate-18.  PCICU: 16 Beds – Cardiac Intensive Care, neonate-adult, Norwood, truncus, TAPVR, COA, valve replacement, ASD, VSD, CHD, HLHS, post-Cath, heart failure; no transplants

Patient Ratios:
NICU – 1:2-3, dependent on acuity

Floating:  Bi Campus – Oak Lawn & Park Ridge. 

Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: Every other
On call? N/A
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Approval of RTO: to go through manager
Shift times: 0700-1900, 1900 - 0700
Schedule cycle: 6-week cycle, will receive 2 week prior to schedule starting

Other notes:
Scrub Color: will be provided scrubs
Parking: Free

EPIC and 2yrs required with IL license in hand.
