Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in an acute care setting. The role involves caring for premature infants, patients with cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical needs, ECMO, and cooling procedures. The nurse will work night shifts, with a focus on maintaining sterile field during simulated skills labs, and will participate in a rotating weekend and holiday schedule. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of three years of NICU experience and relevant certifications.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a total of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and holidays based on unit coverage.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; minimum of 3 years of NICU experience, with Level 4 experience preferred; current license to practice; willingness to wait for license submission; proficient in sterile field, lifts, restraints, and wound care; valid driver's license as source of verification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac stability certification is a plus.
• Unit Notes: Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion during onboarding; understanding of sterile procedures is essential. Experience with lift, restraints, and wound care are educational components due to varied policies between facilities.
• Additional Information: All NICU RN candidates will be expected to pass SIMs Lab, demonstrate competence in sterile field, and understand the responsibilities related to high acuity neonatal patient care. The assignment duration is from 12/07/2026 to 03/08/2027, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
