Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before the start date
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Full-time Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly preferred
• BLS and NRP required at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certificate required, with pending completion accepted at submission
• Epic experience required
• BSN preferred
• Strong clinical confidence with neonatal critical care procedures and therapies
• Ability to provide references and complete required compliance items before start

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for neonates and infants in a busy Level III NICU
• Manage patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including conventional ventilators, HFOV/HFJV, CPAP/BiPAP, NIPPV/NIMV, and iNO
• Support neonatal procedures such as IV placement, lab draws, line care, chest tube care, and wound/drain management
• Assist with intubation, lumbar puncture, PICC placement, umbilical line placement, and chest tube placement
• Perform medication calculations, ABG interpretation, IV fluid management, and hemodynamic support
• Care for patients receiving whole body cooling, post-op care, and specialized neonatal interventions
• Float as needed to newborn and infant care areas while remaining within scope of practice
• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams
