Pay Breakdown

 

(Based on 36 hours)

W2 (taxable): $20.00/hr
Per Diem (Non-Taxable): $ 1,149
Gross Weekly Pay: $1,869.00/week


Experience Requirements

  • 3–4+ years of strong Level III NICU experience preferred
  • Strong experience caring for high-acuity and critically ill neonates
  • Therapeutic cooling experience required
  • Ability to independently manage complex and critically ill NICU patients
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred for traveler positions

Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates.
  • Care for infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia/cooling.
  • Manage neonates requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen.
  • Manage central lines, PICC lines, UAC/UVC lines, and other invasive devices.
  • Administer and titrate IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products as ordered.
  • Recognize and respond promptly to neonatal deterioration and emergency situations.
  • Participate in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization.
  • Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and closely monitor changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary NICU team.
  • Provide education and emotional support to parents and families throughout hospitalization.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Required Certifications

  • Active RN License
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • Additional certifications may be required based on facility policy
